The short version: be helpful, be honest, and treat people well.
Be useful and be civil
The community exists so landlords, tenants, contractors and agents can get straight answers from people who deal with property every day. Post things that help.
Disagree with points, not people. No insults, no pile-ons, no harassment. Content that attacks someone personally will be removed.
Stay on topic
Post in the forum and category that fits your question. Off-topic threads may be moved or removed.
One thread per question. Duplicate threads will be merged or closed.
No spam or self-promotion
Do not post advertising, referral links or promotional content. Contractors and agents may mention their trade in context when answering a question, but threads that exist to sell something will be removed.
New accounts are limited in how often they can post and whether they can include links. These limits relax as you take part.
How to become verified
Verified badges are linked to your OpenMoov account, not to forum activity. The Verified OpenMoov Landlord badge is applied automatically when you hold an active landlord account with OpenMoov. It cannot be requested or bought. Verification for contractors is coming and will be based on checked trade credentials such as insurance and certifications.
Your standing in the community is separate, and it is earned. Ask clear questions and give useful answers, and other members will back your contributions with upvotes. Consistent, helpful participation is what builds credibility here and lifts the limits on new accounts.

Privacy
Do not post anyone's personal details: names, addresses, phone numbers, or anything that identifies a specific tenant, landlord or property without consent.
Reporting and moderation
Use the report option on any thread or reply that breaks these rules. Moderators review every report.
Moderators may edit, lock, move or remove content, and suspend accounts that repeatedly break the rules. Moderator actions are logged.
